As a pharmacy student, we feel that it is important to be active in school organizations as well as contribute to our community. Through American Pharmacy Student Alliance, we are able to help coordinate the CSHP/CPhA Meet and Green. This is a great networking event where pharmacy leaders from both California Society of Health System Pharmacists and California Pharmacists Associations are invited to talk with students about their career paths and steps they take to not only define themselves as pharmacists, but also define our profession. From this session, students were able to gain insights towards some of the leadership roles each pharmacist plays in his or her organization and learn from their experiences. We feel that having the opportunity to converse with such active pharmacists in our profession really inspires us to be active in our profession and contribute to our community.
